The itinerary is as follows:

Day 1, Friday: Welcome to Bordeaux

Arrival in Bordeaux on your own. Private transfer from the airport to the 4* hotel in the center of Bordeaux for check-in for 5 nights. Accommodation in a standard double room with breakfast included.

Day 2, Saturday: Discovering Bordeaux

Breakfast at the hotel.

We begin our adventure with a private guided walking tour with a local guide from Bordeaux. Duration: 3 hours. Entrance fees to monuments not included.

Bordeaux, a port city in southwestern France, is the gateway to the famous Bordeaux wine region. With a rich history, impressive architecture, and located on the banks of the Garonne River, Bordeaux is known not only as a wine epicenter, but also for its urban charm, with lively squares, historic monuments, and exquisite cuisine.

Free time for lunch on your own.

In the afternoon, free visit to the iconic Cité du Vin museum. A journey to the heart of the great history of wine, 3,000 m² await you for incredible experiences. Entrance included.

After the visit, you can enjoy a private boat trip on the Garonne River. Includes a cheese and cold meat platter and a glass of wine to enjoy during the trip. Duration of the trip: 1 hour.

Dinner on your own. Bordeaux offers a wide variety of cuisine. You can choose to dine at one of the city’s wine bars or even a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Day 3, Sunday: Private tour to Saint-Emilion (8 hours)

Start the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel.

In the morning, meet in the hotel lobby with the local guide who will accompany you on this private tour to Saint-Emilion, where you will enjoy visits to two wineries with exquisite wine tastings at each. This unique tour offers the perfect blend of wine and culture, designed for travelers seeking an unforgettable journey to the heart of the best of Bordeaux.

Arrival at a wonderful winery in Saint-Emilion to enjoy a guided tour with a tasting of Grand Cru wines from Saint-Emilion.

Then, a guided walking tour of Saint-Émilion, where you can admire not only an exceptional natural heritage, but also the valuable historical and architectural heritage of the medieval town with its cobbled streets and numerous religious monuments.

Free time to explore this beautiful medieval town on your own and lunch on your own.

We end the day with a guided tour and wine tasting at another Grand Cru de Saint-Emilion winery.

Transfer back to the hotel.

Day 4, Monday: Private tour of the Médoc wine region (8 hours)

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your hotel before setting off on your adventure.

In the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel for a private transfer to the Médoc to explore the wine region and discover the secrets of its most iconic red wines. This exclusive adventure reveals the secrets of prestigious appellations such as Margaux and Pauillac, famous for their bold blends of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Stop for a tour and tasting at the first winery you visit. Explore the rich history and winemaking facilities of each property and witness the intricate process of grape production. Savor expert-guided tastings and learn to identify aromas, flavors, and the influence of terroir in each unique wine.

We continue along the route where you will have photo opportunities of the prestigious Châteaux in this area.

Enjoy free time for lunch in the wine regions of Pauillac or St Julien.

After lunch, two more wineries await you, where you will enjoy a tasting led by experts at each one. You will enjoy the vineyards of Médoc, the pinnacle of wine experiences in Bordeaux.

At the end of the day, return to your accommodation in Bordeaux to enjoy the rest of the evening at your leisure.

  • Who is this trip aimed at?   • Are the winery visits private? Unless otherwise indicated in the final itinerary, winery visits may be shared in small groups to provide an enriching experience.
  • Do you have any allergies or dietary restrictions? Let us know in advance and we will work to adapt the meals to your dietary needs.
  • What kind of clothing should I wear? The most important thing is to wear comfortable shoes with non-slip soles to avoid accidents in the cellars, where the floor can sometimes be a little slippery. You should also bring warm clothing, as the temperature in the cellars is usually lower than outside to ensure optimal aging of the wines, in addition to the humidity that can be found there.
  • What happens if the minimum number of people required for the trip is not reached? If a minimum number of participants is required and this is not reached, we will offer you a suitable alternative or proceed to refund the full amount paid, either the pre-booking fee or the total cost of the program, as indicated in the terms and conditions of your trip.

  • Can I travel alone? Absolutely. You can join any of our small, shared group tours by paying the corresponding single supplement for the chosen tour. Keep in mind that the trip will only take place if the minimum number of people required for the tour is registered.
  • What is the payment method? We accept secure payments with VISA, Mastercard, and American Express. We also accept bank transfers (transfer fees or commissions are charged to the customer). Unfortunately, we do not accept personal checks.

Important Notes

  • This tour is private, for a minimum of 2 people, and a maximum of 8 people.
  • If there are more than two people traveling together, the price will be adjusted. Please contact us in this case.
  • To reserve your place on this tour, you must pay a deposit of 250 EUR per person.
  • The guided tours of this tour are conducted in Spanish or English, as required by the customer, subject to availability.
  • Tours of the wineries in Spanish are subject to availability and can be shared in small groups.
  • The itinerary or final program may suffer modifications in the order of the visits and/or last-minute changes or alterations beyond the control of our agency. However, in that case, we would provide you with an alternative while maintaining at least the same level of quality, without altering the price.

Reservations and Payments:

  • Make secure online payment of your pre-reservation (deposit) of EUR 250 per person by credit card or PayPal to reserve your place. You will receive a payment confirmation email immediately. If you prefer to pay by bank transfer, please contact us at sales@viavinumwinetours.com and we will provide you with the necessary details.
  • Within a maximum of 48 hours (working days), you will receive another email from our agency with more information about the trip and additional details.
  • Once the services are confirmed, we will contact you to make your firm reservation with a payment of 50% of the total cost of the trip within the following 5 days. Additionally, we will send you the general terms and conditions, which you must sign and return to us by email.
  • The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the start date of the trip.
  • Once the payment is confirmed, we will send you the final program and the travel assistance insurance prior to departure.

Modifications or Cancellations:

  • Once the trip has been confirmed by our agency and the 50% deposit required to confirm your place has been paid, there will be no refund if you cancel the trip.
  • In case of cancellation or modification within 30 days prior to the start of the tour, no refund will be made, and a charge of 100% of the tour price will apply.
  • No-shows (clients who do not show up) or interruptions of the program before its end will not be refunded.
  • In case of cancellation of a reservation, the client must inform our agency by email and receive confirmation of receipt of the cancellation by our agency.
  • We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance before your trip. This way, you can be sure that you are covered for justified reasons that may arise before your trip (you should carefully read the clauses in the terms and conditions of the insurance that you finally contract).
